Summer of Service
Youth Internhip 2026

July 2 - 28, 2026

A summer internship offered in the Greater Boston Area is for high school and college students who seek to enhance their own intellectual and spiritual capacity while simultaneously contributing to the progress of their community.

What is the Summer of Service Youth Internship?

The Summer of Service Youth Internship is a program that invites high school and college students to build capacity as leaders, mentors and organizers. The program runs from July 2-28th and interns are expected to give full participation for the duration of the full program.

 

The internship consists of three aspects:

  • Providing mentorship to middle school aged youth

  • Academic tutoring for middle schoolers in English and math

  • Receiving mentorship through the program (career, life skills, financials, academics and more)

At the end of the program, interns will receive: 

  • Recommendation Letter

  • Certificate of Completion

  • 200 Community Service Hours

  • Skills learned (mentor, practice facilitating group discussions, engaging with families, and leading social-action projects)

  • Resume Writing Assistance

Registration Requirements

Please make note of the following requirements for participation:

  • Reside in the Greater Boston area. 

  • Having turned 15 years old by the start of the program. 

  • Ability to participate for the full duration of the program (in extenuating circumstances, requests for partial participation can be sent to the RTI Board at secretary@northeastrti.org for consideration)
