The Bahá'í Faith
The teachings of the Bahá’í Faith inspire individuals and communities to work toward improving their own lives and contributing to the advancement of society.
At the heart of the Bahá’í Faith is the principle of the oneness of humanity: the belief that all people—regardless of race, religion, nationality, or any external distinction—belong to a single human family, and that each individual carries the responsibility to contribute to the material and spiritual progress of society. The Bahá’í teachings address essential themes such as the unity of God and religion, the elimination of prejudice, the inherent nobility of the human being, the fundamental equality of women and men, the harmony of science and religion, the progressive revelation of religious truth, the cultivation of spiritual qualities, selfless service to others, the centrality of justice in all human endeavors, the importance of education, and the dynamic relationships that must unite individuals, communities, and institutions as humanity advances toward its collective maturity.
Bahá’u’lláh compares the world of humanity to the human body, within which millions of cells, diverse in form and function, each play a vital role in sustaining and developing a healthy system. In the same way, harmonious relationships among individuals, communities, and institutions allow for the advancement of human civilization.

“The purpose of religion as revealed from the heaven of God’s holy Will is to establish unity and concord amongst the peoples of the world; make it not the cause of dissension and strife.”

— Bahá’u’lláh
